Leonnie Dillon “Oz Harvest”

Leonnie Dillion will be the Guest Speaker for The Rotary Club of The Hills-Kellyville on Monday 28th October to tell us about the wonderful work of “Oz Harvest” how they developed their charity network and how it all works.

The demand on the support that Oz Harvest provides is growing at an alarming rate and the need to reduce food waste is growing at an equally fast rate.

OzHarvest was founded in 2004 by Ronni Kahn AO, after noticing the huge volume of food going to waste from her events business. Ronni did not set out to start a charity, rather just fix an obvious problem with a simple solution. Starting with one van in Sydney, she began rescuing food and delivering it to local charities.
